    Register soon for youth ball sports Registration for the following Lancaster County Parks and Recreation youth ball sports opens Feb. 25. • T-ball for boys ages 4-5, as of May 1, 2019, costs $50. This group hits strictly off the tee. • Swing league for boys ages 5-6, as of May 1, 2019, costs $50. This is coach pitch for the first three balls, then two off the tee if the batter fails to hit pitched balls.

    Register now for youth spring sports Registration for the following Lancaster County Parks and Recreation spring sports is now open. • Spring soccer for girls and boys ages 5-13, as of Sept. 1, 2019, costs $65. • Soccer for boys and girls age 4, as of Sept. 1, 2019, costs $50. • Softball for girls ages 7-12, as of Aug. 31, 2019, costs $75. If child will be 7 before Aug. 31, 2019, sign up for the 7/8 Darlings. • Youth baseball for boys ages 7-12, as of May 1, 2019, costs $75.

    ILHS Christmas softball game Dec. 8 Indian Land High School’s Lady Warrior softball teams will host a Christmas softball game 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Dec. 8. at the ILHS softball diamond. Players will be dressed in their favorite holiday attire. Santa will visit at noon. There will be raffles for prizes, fun games for kids, and concessions will be sold. After the game, you can also see the Lady Warriors riding in the Indian Land Christmas parade at 3 p.m., celebrating their 2018 region and district championships.

    Indian Land's Carolina Angels 14U softball team played in the 2018 Top Gun-USA Winter World Series in Myrtle Beach on Nov. 3 and 4.
  • Sports Shorts 11-21-18
    Rodman places 21st in state meet Former Indian Land High School girls standout runner Kaitlyn Rodman posted 21:01 to place 21st overall in the Class AA-A state cross country meet. The 20-team meet was Nov. 3 at the Clemson Sandhills Research Center in Columbia. Rodman now attends the S.C. Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics in Hartsville.
