    Funding needed for African mission
Chaplain Scott Girard and Dr. Jeff Richards, a professor and pastor, are planning a June 29-July 15 teaching mission to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Over 600 pastors in two major cities will attend pastoral training institutes at no charge.
The duo are seeking sponsors at $30 per pastor, which provides them with one meal per day and a bus ticket. They get their own lodging, usually sleeping on the ground or in a nearby church.

  • Local man to help teach pastors in Africa

Together with the nonprofit’s founder, Dr. Jeff Richards, he will travel to the African nation’s capital, Kinshasa, on June 29 to train 300 local pastors. They will train another 300 at the city of Goma on the other side of the large country the next week.
