Warriors rally, down Bruins on diamond

Indian Land High School’s baseball team rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to post a 9-5 comeback win over Lancaster at Doomsday Corner on Wednesday night.

LHS led 3-0 after three innings, but the Warriors went on the warpath to tally eight runs for an 8-3 edge.

Indian Land stayed on top for the four-run win over the Bruins, who fell to 1-4 on the season.

Kyle Raynor led the Warriors with two hits, including a double, two RBIs, scored a run and a stolen base.

Winning hurler Tanner Chassereau keyed the Warriors with two hits, scored a run and drove in a run.

Braden Small supplied two hits, scored a run and drove in a run.

Trace White had a hit, tallied a run, stole a base and drew two walks.

Chase Dougherty drilled a double, walked twice, scored a run and had three stolen bases. Jay Hildreth had a hit, scored a run and drove in a run.

Adam Morrison had a RBI and scored a run. Zach Webb and Connor Burns each scored a run.

Chassereau, in five innings, hurled the win, yielding seven hits, five runs, four earned runs and two walks. He fanned three.

White worked two frames and whiffed one for the save.

Raul Garcia-Mora led the Bruins with two hits, a walk and a RBI. J.P. Cunningham contributed a double, scored twice and walked.

Steven Ledbetter laced a double and drove in a run. Sergio Vazquez had a hit, an RBI and scored a run.

Buddy Howard had a hit and scored a run. Blayne Small added a hit.

Zac Blackmon hurled 3.1 innings and yielded six hits, eight runs and a walk. He fanned one.

Small went 3.2 frames and gave up three hits, a run and a walk. He whiffed one.
