Warriors clip CHS Bulldogs

The Indian Land Warriors improved to 4-0 in Region IV-AAA baseball play with a 5-3 road win over the third-ranked Camden Bulldogs on March 26.
ILHS junior pitcher Tanner Chassereau hurled the win, going 5.1 innings with five hits and three runs allowed, two earned runs. He gave up two walks and struck out four CHS batters.
Freshman pitcher Roman Edwards notched the save in 1.1 innings of work. He allowed a hit and struck out one.
Chassereau aided the ILHS cause with two hits, including a double, and a run.
Lawson Otte and Connor Ouimet each had two hits and drove in a run. Ouimet also had a stolen base and scored a run.
Chase Dougherty drilled a double, drove in a run and scored a run. He also reached base after being hit by a pitch.
Adam Morrison and Zach Webb each had a hit and an RBI. Kyle Raynor walked twice and tallied a run for the Warriors. Maddox Morrison also scored a run for ILHS. Trace White drew a walk to aid the Warriors.
Camden took an early 1-0 lead, but Indian Land rallied for a 3-1 edge with three runs in the third. CHS sliced the gap to 3-2, but the Warriors tallied two in the fifth inning and held on for the region win.
Indian Land, which defeated Camden, 12-2, in five innings at home March 22, has won four straight games.
On March 22, Raynor led the Warriors with four hits and two RBIs. White supplied two hits and two RBIs.
Webb had two RBIs and Dougherty drew two walks in the Warriors’ 10-run win.
