Free family fishing clinic July 20
A free family fishing clinic will be held 10 a.m.-1 p.m. July 20 at Grandchildren’s Park in Sun City Carolina Lakes.
Instructors are resident volunteers who are members of the Sport Fishing Club. Bait, rods and reels, and tackle will be provided. The clinic is designed to introduce the basics of fishing to both young and old. Participants will learn how to tie fishing knots, rig rods, cast, fish and more. Space is limited. Sign up now for local soccer camp

The Future Warrior Soccer Camp is 8 a.m.-noon July 22-24 at the Indian Land High School soccer field, 8063 River Road.
The camp will provide boys and girls ages 6-12 an opportunity to have fun and improve as soccer players. It will focus on developing fundamental skills of ball handling, passing, shooting and finishing. Players will participate in small competitive games and technical skill-based drills.
The camp will be run by the ILHS coaching staff and current ILHS soccer players.
Campers should bring soccer cleats and shin guards, a water bottle and a light snack.

ILHS offers volleyball skills camp July 24-26
A Volleyball Skills Camp for players in grades seven through 12 will be 9 a.m.-noon July 24-26 at Indian Land High School, 8063 River Road.
Cost is $100 per player. Make checks payable to ILABC guest coach Jerry Dornereker, who is assistant coach at Anderson University and Intense Volleyball club director.

Gregory Family YMCA offers swim lessons
The next summer swim lesson session at the University of South Carolina Lancaster’s Gregory Family YMCA, 512 Hubbard Drive, Lancaster, is July 22-Aug. 1 for Aqua Tot and Levels 1-4.
Lessons are Monday-Thursday. Morning classes are 10-10:30 and 10:30-11. Evening classes are 5:30-6, 6-6:30 and 6:30-7.

Registration open for fall youth sports
Registration for Lancaster County Parks and Recreation Commission’s fall sports programs is now open. This fall, LCPRC will offer:
• Cheerleading for girls ages 7-12 – $30
• Soccer for boys and girls ages 5-15 – $75
• Youth volleyball for girls ages 7-12 – $70
• Introduction to soccer for age 4 boys and girls – $60
• Tackle football for boys and girls ages 9/10 and 11/12 – $95, plus $30 helmet rental
• Flag football for boys and girls ages 5/6 and 7/8 – $70
Age cut-off date is Sept. 1.

See Orange basketball tournament July 27
The See Orange basketball tournament is seeking adult teams, age 18 and over, to play in the tournament 10 a.m.-6 p.m. July 27 at Hope on the Hill, 612 E. Meeting St., Lancaster.
The event includes the Pastor John P. Kee Concert, tournament and hot dog meal.

Pettus Greenway golf tourney Aug. 1
The third annual Lindsay Pettus Greenway golf tournament is Aug. 1 at the Lancaster Golf Club, 1821 Springs Club Road, Lancaster.
Registration and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m., with the shotgun start at 1 p.m.
The first-place team wins $500, and $300 for second and $100 for third place.
The entry fee is $240 a team and the entry deadline is July 28. Entry includes snacks and lunch, door prizes, closest-to-the-pin and longest drive contests.
