Little Warrior Basketball Camp June 10-13
The Little Warrior Basketball Camp for girls entering grades one through seven is 5-8 p.m. June 10-13 at Indian Land Middle School, 8361 Charlotte Highway, Indian Land. Cost is $70, which includes a camp T-shirt and admission to the Lady Warriors varsity scrimmage on June 21.
Campers will learn the fundamentals of form shooting, passing, footwork, ball handling and rebounding. 
The camp staff includes ILHS girls basketball head coach Paul Richardson, ILHS assistant coaches and
 ILHS players.
Wear athletic clothes and basketball or athletic shoes. Bring a water bottle and a snack, if wanted.

Gregory Family YMCA offers swim lessons
The University of South Carolina Lancaster's Gregory Family YMCA has set swim lessons for the summer session Lessons, held Monday-Thursday, are at the Gregory Family YMCA, 512 Hubbard Drive, Lancaster.
The classes are taught by USCL Aquatics Director Anne H. Small and her staff.
Session 1 is under way. Session 2 is June 17-27 and includes Aqua Tot and Levels 1-4. Session 3 is July 8-18 and includes Aqua Infant, Wee Toddler, Aqua Tot and Levels 1-4. Session 4 is July 22-Aug. 1 and includes Aqua Tot and Levels 1-4.
No classes will be held July 1-5.
Morning classes for Aqua Tot and Levels 1-4 are 10-10:30 and 10:30-11.
Evening classes for Aqua Infant, Wee Toddler, Aqua Tot and Levels 1-4 are 5:30-6, 6-6:30 and 6:30-7.

Camp GOTR at Lancaster YMCA
Camp GOTR (Girls on the Run) is 8:30 a.m-noon July 8-12 at the Gregory Family YMCA, 512 Hubbard Drive, Lancaster.
The theme is "Girls Have Heart." Throughout the week, girls in grades three through five will explore friendships with activities designed to discover what makes a good friend and how to be a good friend to others.
The $140 fee includes five lessons conducted by certified GOTR coaches (20 hours of instruction), a camp T-shirt, cinch backpack, camp conclusion certificate and goodie bag. Financial aid is available based on household income range.
The program is designed to address physical, emotional and social development through fun and engaging lessons. Through games, physical activity, interactive workshops and individual reflection, girls will learn valuable skills to help them build meaningful and positive connections with others.

Free family fishing clinic July 20
A free family fishing clinic will be held 10 a.m.-1 p.m. July 20 at Grandchildren’s Park in Sun City Carolina Lakes.
Instructors are resident volunteers who are members of the Sport Fishing Club. Bait, rods and reels, and tackle will be provided. The clinic is designed to introduce the basics of fishing to both young and old. Participants will learn how to tie fishing knots, rig rods, cast, fish and more. Space is limited.
