ILHS honors unsung football heroes
Robbie Csuhta led Indian Land High School with 15 tackles and two tackles for loss in the Warriors’ 13-7 win over Fairfield Central High School on Oct. 25.
Dorian Williams had nine tackles, two tackles for loss. Tajh Knight notched eight tackles, two tackles for loss and forced a fumble. A.J. Jefferson posted six tackles and broke up three passes. Alex Murphy notched six tackles, one tackle for loss.
Cornelius Barber had five tackles. Karl Ellis had four tackles and an interception. Tony Demetrio also had four tackles. Caden Bloxham had three tackles, three tackles for loss. Gabe Faulkner had three tackles, a tackle for loss and broke up a pass. Miegwel Lewis had three tackles.

Gregory Family YMCA offers swim lessons

Gregory Family YMCA, 512 Hubbard Drive, Lancaster, will offer evening swimming lessons beginning in early November. A Monday/Wednesday session will run Nov. 5-Dec. 3 at the USCL pool. A Tuesday-Thursday session will run Nov. 6-Dec. 4 at the USCL pool. Class times are 6-6:30 p.m., or 6:30-7 p.m. No classes will be held Nov. 21-22. Call (803) 313-7102 for details.

Edgewater hosts military golf tourney
The Veterans of Edgewater first Military Golf Tournament is 10 a.m. Nov. 10 at Edgewater Golf Club, 2380 Catawba Ridge Blvd., Lancaster.
The event will also include on-course games, a silent auction and a raffle for a handcrafted patriotic quilt.
Registration and sign-in begin at 8:30 a.m. The entry fee is $80 per person or $310 per team, which include green fees, cart, range balls and lunch.
Prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place teams, longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin.
Proceeds benefit Operation Homefront and will be designated to local veterans and their families. Sponsorships, silent auction items and volunteers are needed.

YMCA offers January snowmobile trips
The YMCA has scheduled two family snowmobile trips to Yellowstone Park from Jan. 19-23 and Jan 23-27. A deposit of $250 and completed registration form are required to reserve your spot. Final payment is due Dec. 1. For details or to register, call (803) 324-9622, ext. 221.

Dixie Baseball turkey shoots on Saturdays
Lancaster Dixie Baseball is holding its annual fall turkey shoot each Saturday through the end of the year at Gooches Volunteer Fire Department, 1594 Grace Ave., Lancaster. The shoot begins at 5:30 p.m. each Saturday. Cost is $3 per round with 10 targets per round. For details, call Dale Laney at (704) 695-5730.
