The Best Week of Fall will soon arrive, but now is the time to register for special events planned for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 6.
“We are excited to celebrate so many wonderful aspects of our community during this week,” said Mike Neese, events director. “Indian Land and Lancaster County have so much to offer.”
Carolinas Chili Championship

Day at the Park
Andrew Jackson State Park will host a free Day at the Park from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Indian Land Community Church have partnered with the fall festival to provide a day of free food, fun and fishing.
Pro bass fisherman Maliek Carrington’s fishing outreach program – Fishing4Reel Outdoor – will give instruction on basic techniques such as hooking bait, casting and reeling.
Free fishing poles will be available while supplies last for kids ages 5-12.
More activities will be available at no charge. Free hot dogs and drinks will also be provided.
Admission will be free that day at the park, 196 Andrew Jackson Park Road off U.S. 521, nine miles north of Lancaster.

Each participant will have two opportunities to fire either a shotgun or rifle or both. Firearms, ammunition and targets will be provided and instructors are available for new shooters.  Lunch will be provided as well.
