Snipes and Steele wed in October

Haley Anne Snipes and Samuel Edgar Steele were married at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, in the garden of the Magnolia Room in Rock Hill, by the groom’s father, the Rev. John Dale Steele.
The bride is the daughter of William Thomas Snipes and Sharon Harper Snipes of Lancaster. She is the granddaughter of Jacqueline Snipes and Charles Edward Snipes and the late Sally Ann Harper and late Bart Harper, all of Lancaster.
She is a graduate of Lancaster High School and a graduate of USC Upstate in Spartanburg with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is a fifth-grade teacher at Indian Land Elementary School.
The groom is the son of Cammie Cribb Steele of West Columbia and John Dale Steele of Leesville. He is the grandson of Nell Morris Cribb of Georgetown and the late Lloyd Bradley Cribb, the late Frank Roberts Steele and Ruth Laughridge Steele of Lancaster and honorary grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hallman.
He is a graduate of Airport High School in West Columbia and Charleston Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is in national account sales with Patterson Fan Co. in Blythewood.
The bride’s parents gave her in marriage.
Matron of honor was Rebecca Hammond. Bridesmaids were cousins of the bride, Sarah Gennie, Mackenzie Thompson and Kelsey Carnes, and sisters-in-law of the groom, Darla Steele and Lindsey Steele.
Junior bridesmaid was the groom’s daughter, Ava Marie Steele.
Best man was Kevin Russell. Groomsmen were brothers of the groom, Ben Steele, Michael Steele and Daniel Steele, brother of the bride, Grayson Snipes, and Matthew Nichols.
Flower girl was niece of the groom, Beckett Steele. Ring bearer was cousin of the bride, Easton Thompson.
Music was provided during the ceremony by Dr. Linda Blackwell and Christopher Spence and trumpeter Keren Willis, and during the reception by DJ Howie Entertainment.
The bride wore a sleeveless, princess-style gown of white satin, overlaid with sheer organza, a bodice with a heart-shaped neckline, accentuated with appliques of Venice lace and pearls. The back of the gown was designed with a round cutout extending to the waist and fastening at the neckline. She wore a chapel-length veil of sheer illusion, edged with appliques of Venice lace. She carried a mixed bouquet of white flowers.
A reception was held at the Magnolia Room.
After a trip to Antigua, the couple lives in Indian Land.
