Belair food pantry Sept. 5
Belair United Methodist Church, 8095 Shelley Mullis Road, opens its food pantry for Indian Land residents 9 a.m.-noon Sept. 5 (first and third Thursday of each month). Food or cash donations may be dropped off at the church office 9 a.m.-noon weekdays.
NAMI support groups meet

Byzantines meet Saturdays
The Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic Church’s Divine Liturgy is 4 p.m. Saturdays in the parish center at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 292 E. Munn Road, Fort Mill. OLOG hosts fellowships
Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 7095 Waxhaw Highway, Lancaster, holds a weekly fellowship at 12:30 p.m. after the noon Mass on Thursdays. The church also hosts a monthly hospitality after the Sunday 11 a.m. Mass on Sept. 15 (third Sunday each month). Coffee and doughnuts are served at noon. All are welcome.
Hospice caregivers to meet Sept. 18
Hospice Care of S.C. will hold a caregiver support group 10-11 a.m. Sept. 18 (third Wednesday of each month) in the Belair United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 8095 Shelley Mullis Road, Indian Land.

Alzheimer’s group meets Sept. 19
The Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 238 Fort Mill Highway, Indian Land, meets at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 (third Thursday each month) in the church library. It offers support to those caring for loved ones with dementia.
Singles fellowship Sept. 19

Faith hosts Chrismon workshop Sept. 21
A Chrismon workshop will be held 10-1 p.m. Sept. 21 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 7520 Charlotte Highway, Indian Land. Chrismons are symbols that were used in the first centuries of the church as symbols of Christianity and are often used on Christmas trees. The cost of the workshop is $15, which includes lunch and a Chrismon each person will make to take home. Come enjoy a few hours of crafting, food and fellowship. Mother’s Morning Out
Faith Presbyterian’s Mother’s Morning Out program for the 2019-20 school year has one opening. The program meets 9 a.m.-noon Wednesdays throughout the school year, and is open to any child who will be 2 or 3 years old on Sept. 1. Cost is $50 per month. Register for Faith Formation
Registration is now open for the 2019-20 children’s Faith Formation program at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. The program is free for all registered parishioners.
In this program, children and families grow together in holy fellowship, understanding of the sacraments, Scripture and many other aspects of the Catholic faith.
Classes are Wednesdays with sessions at 4 and 6:30 p.m. during the school year. Families will receive further information upon registration.

MBA Celebration of Missions
The Moriah Baptist Association will host its annual Celebration of Missions at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at New Hope Baptist Church, 3731 Lynwood Drive, Lancaster. Mission reports will be shared from 4:30-6 p.m. with a buffet catered by Cromer’s from 6-7 p.m. Evening worship will begin at 7 p.m. with special music by the New Hope Church Choir. The Rev. Moriah Baptist Association hosts Senior Adult Fall Festival
The Moriah Baptist Association will host its Senior Adult Fall Festival at 11 a.m. Oct. 10 at Springdell Baptist Church, 1420 Springdale Road, Lancaster. “Dandy Don” Davis will perform old cowboy songs and gospel music. Dennis Catoe’s corn dogs and funnel cakes will be served for lunch. Churches do not need to bring desserts for the event. Prayer garden open to all
All are invited to visit the Community Prayer Garden with the Stations of the Cross on the grounds of Crossroads Lutheran Church, 8511 Shelley Mullis Road. The shaded garden, with benches, is open from 8 a.m. to sunset daily. Booklets are available at the entrance with reflections and prayers to guide visitors on their walk.
