St. John’s UMC hosts 5th Sunday breakfast
St. John’s United Methodist Church, 160 Tom Hall St., Fort Mill, will hold the last fifth Sunday breakfast gathering this year on Dec. 30, when there will be a hearty snack rather than a full breakfast during the Sunday school hour.

Belair food pantry open Jan. 3
Belair United Methodist Church, 8095 Shelley Mullis Road, opens its food pantry for Indian Land residents 9 a.m.-noon Jan. 3 (first and third Thursday of each month). Donations of food or cash may be dropped off at the Belair church office 9 a.m.-noon weekdays.
NAMI support groups meet Jan. 3, Jan. 7

Byzantines Catholics meet on Saturdays
The Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic Church’s Divine Liturgy is at 4 p.m. Saturdays at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 292 E. Munn Road, Fort Mill. The Byzantines meet in the parish center, between the church and the ministry building.
What is a Byzantine Catholic? An explanation of the Eastern Church, part of the universal church in union with Rome, is held every first Saturday of the month, Jan. 5, along with a coffee social after the liturgy. There will be activities for children 12 and younger during the talk.

It is discussing the book “Counter Culture” by David Platt, which talks about where Jesus and culture collide. The ministry also offers youth Bible study 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
AA meets Wednesdays
Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at Belair United Methodist Church, 8095 Shelley Mullis Road. Meetings are open discussion, with speakers on third Wednesdays.
Addiction ministry meets
