Everything will be coming up roses when the ninth annual Red Rose Festival sets the stage for a weekend of free family fun in the Cultural Arts District of Lancaster – the Red Rose City.
There is no admission fee for the May 18-19 music festival, which also features children’s rides and activities, arts and crafts, food vendors, Red Rose Photography Contest, the new Red Rose Festival Pageant and much more.
The festival opens at 6 p.m. Friday, May 18, with live music from Sugarshine and Tantrum until 10:30 p.m., and the first Red Rose Festival Pageant at 8 p.m.
Saturday’s events include a 5K, dog show, free children’s rides, a book give-away, games and activities and plenty of live music from Triple Play Band, The Tonez, Roy Robert Band and US Stones all day.
Check out the arts and crafts and business booths and enjoy food from festival vendors and the outdoor beer garden for adults. The evening will end with fireworks.
