Raiders down Warriors twice

COLUMBIA – The Indian Land High School basketball teams had a tough night at Keenan High School in Columbia on Friday, Jan. 11.
The Lady Raiders opened the KHS hardwood sweep with a 76-22 win, and the Keenan boys followed with a 89-59 victory.
The Lady Raiders, in their 54-point win, were led by Milaysia Fullwiley with 33 points. Dyani Burke hit 22 for Keenan.
The Indian Land girls, who fell to 1-15, 1-1, were led by Gabbi Wilson’s seven points, two rebounds, one steal and one assist.
Kristen Falk scored six points and had three rebounds. Allie Floyd had five points, making three of four free throws.
Daniella Wilson netted two points and six rebounds. Crystal Strother added two points.

IL boys fall, 89-59
In the boys game, Keenan, 18-1, 2-0 in region, rolled to a 22-11 first-period lead.
Keenan held a 51-21 lead at the half. The Raiders led 71-38 after three periods on the way to the win.
KHS was led by Raekwon Horton, who had 26 points and 10 rebounds.
JaSean Morris scored 19 points, hitting 7 of 10 free throws, and had five rebounds. Asanti Price netted 11 points for Keenan who had 11 of 12 players score in the region win.
Destin Clark netted 30 points to lead the Warriors in the loss to Keenan. Clark netted 13-18 on two-point shots.
Jersey Graves scored six and had five rebounds. John Fose netted five points.
Adrian Pledger scored four. Tre Thompson tallied three points and had six boards.
Gabe Shook and Chase Dougherty each had two points.
"Keenan beat us in all phases of the game in the first half,” IL coach Nate Smith said. "Keenan beat us on the boards and they ran the floor well. They used their size to pound the ball inside.
"In the second half, I felt we played better, but we can't wait to the second half to get started," Smith said. "We have two big games this week, so our focus is on those games.”
ILHS hosted Camden on Tuesday, Jan. 15, and visits Fairfield Central High of Winnsboro on Friday, Jan. 18.
