Piranhas win 3 races in finale

The Lancaster County Piranhas swim team capped its season at the Metrolina League Finale at the Rock Hill Aquatics Center on June 29.
Fletcher Armbrust (boys 11-12) and Tamra Tipton (girls 13-14) led the Lancaster County team with two wins each.
Hadlee Stroud (girls 6-under), posted a first to boost the Piranhas in the meet.
Andrew Bell of Indian Land came in second in the 13-14 boys breaststroke race and third in individual medley.
Diana Kiger of Indian Land placed sixth in the 15-18 girls  breaststroke and individual medley.
The field included teams from the Rock Hill Country Club, Tega Cay, River Hills and Lake Wylie.
Breakers down Piranhas
The Lancaster County Piranhas dropped a 365-82 loss to the Tega Cay Breakers on June 24.
Lancaster, which finished 1-3 on the season, was led by Hadlee Stroud with two firsts in the meet.
Ella Grace Hines, Andrew Bell, Alex Trimnal, Tamra Tipton, Brayden Kennington and Brooke Carter each had one first.
Bell won the 13-14 boys backstroke race, placed second in  breaststroke and third in freestyle.
Kiger placed fourth in 15-18 girls individual medley and fifth in freestyle.
