IL GOP Women won’t meet in summer
The Indian Land Republican Women will not meet through the summer.
IL fire district board to meet June 19
The Indian Land Fire Protection District Board meets at 7 p.m. June 19 at the Indian Land Fire Station, 185 Six Mile Creek Road, Indian Land. The agenda includes land for a southern substation, labor costs and the revised 2019-20 budget.

Administration Committee special meeting June 20

The Lancaster County Council's Administration Committee will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. June 20 in the conference room of the Lancaster County Administration Building at 101 N. Main St., Lancaster. Discussion items include a resolution to buy the property at 101 N. Hampton St., Kershaw, for a county library site, and the employee classification and compensation plan.
Community Relations Commission meets
The Lancaster County Community Relations Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. June 20 in council chambers at the Lancaster County Administration Building, 101 N. Main St., Lancaster.
IL Action Council meets June 20
The Indian Land Action Council meets at 7 p.m. June 20 at Del Webb Library at Indian Land, 7641 Charlotte Highway.
Scott Edgar, Lancaster County stormwater engineer, will be the guest speaker. The public is welcome.
An ILAC board opening will be filled at this meeting.

County Council meets June 24
Lancaster County Council meets at 6 p.m. June 24 in council chambers at the Lancaster County Administration Building, 101 N. Main St., Lancaster.

The meeting will open with a public hearing on the proposal to rezone five parcels, totaling about 25 acres between Marvin Road and U.S. 521, from general business to mixed-use. The agenda is posted in the lobby of the county building and on the county website, http://mylancastersc.org.
VW Planning Commission meets
The Van Wyck Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m. June 25 at the Van Wyck Community Center, 5036 Old Hickory Road, Van Wyck.
County school board meets June 25
The Lancaster County school board meets at 7 p.m. June 25 at the district office, 300 S. Catawba St., Lancaster. There will be a public hearing on the proposed $124,120,582 school district budget at 5:30 p.m. before the regular meeting. Conservation board won’t meet in July

County Democratic Party won’t meet in July

Recover property from sheriff’s office
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office advertises found property on its website, www.lacoso.net. A list of the property, which has been recovered by deputies and placed into evidence for safekeeping, can be seen in the news section of the sheriff’s office website.
Rightful owners can contact the evidence and property unit at (803) 313-2102 to describe the item and claim ownership. The sheriff’s office is allowed by state law to dispose of the property after a 90-day period, after exhausting all reasonable efforts to find the legal owner.
