Lancaster County offices will be closed May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. Offices will resume normal business hours May 28. Emergency services, such as fire, police and EMS, will operate normal hours through the holidays.

Recover property from sheriff’s office
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office advertises found property on its website, www.lacoso.net. A list of the property, which has been recovered by deputies and placed into evidence for safekeeping, can be seen in the news section of the sheriff’s office website.
Rightful owners can contact the evidence and property unit at (803) 313-2102 to describe the item and claim ownership. The sheriff’s office is allowed by state law to dispose of the property after a 90-day period, after exhausting all reasonable efforts to find the legal owner.
