ILHS booters coach posts 200th win

Indian Land High School boys soccer coach Adam Cole posted his 200th career win Friday, March 22, during his team’s 5-2 road victory over the Camden Bulldogs. His coaching record – all at ILHS – stands at 200-65-4 overall and 73-4-0 in region play.
In Friday’s win, the Warriors, 8-0 on the season and 3-0 in the region, outshot CHS, 22-14.
Gavin Dunlop scored three goals, and Addison Guild and Jordan Perry made one each with assists from Nicolas Alava, Gabe Burris, Isaiah Phifer, Guild and Logan Lambert.
IL keeper Gabe Burris made five saves.
• On March 21, the Warriors shut out Chester High School, 3-0.
The Warriors outshot CHS, 31-2.
Dunlop, Guild and Perry each made one goal, with assists from Lambert and Dunlop.
Burris made two saves for the Warriors.
• The Warriors ripped the Keenan Raiders in Region IV-AAA boys soccer, 13-0, on March 19.
The Warriors outshot KHS, 30-4.
Dunlop, Jared Diemer and Nicolas Arias each netted two goals. IL had single goals from Payton Arnold, Perry, Phifer, Guild, Nikolas Major, John Fosu and Chukwuzam Idehen.
Fosu had two assists. Ian Chavez, Alava, Lucas Watt, Jacob Huebsch, Guild, Arnold, Perry, Dunlop and Diemer each had an assist.
Burris and Arnold each had two saves.
• The Indian Land High School boys soccer team rolled to a 7-0 win over the Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics at Coker College in Hartsville on March 18.
Dunlop led the Warriors with two goals. Fosu, Guild, Perry, Phifer and Idehen each netted a goal.
Tristen Vindel, Lambert, Lucas Watt, Arnold and Guild each notched an assist.
Burris had two saves in the shutout.
The Warriors also had stellar defensive play from defenders Luke Roberts, Daniel Kilroy, Tex McCarver and Lambert.
The Warriors had 22 shots to GSSM’s five.
