From Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office reports:
◆ A work truck, trailer and several other landscaping items were reported stolen July 18 from a storage facility on Harrisburg Road in Indian Land.
The victim said the items were stolen between 6:30 p.m. July 17 and 6 a.m. July 18. The missing items include a white 2006 Ford F250 Supercab pickup truck, a black single-axle trailer, a Husqvarna leaf blower, two chainsaws, a ladder, pitch fork, truck rack and a Bank of America credit card.
The total cost of the stolen items is an estimated $13,605, along with $900 in transactions charged to the stolen credit card. The truck has been entered into NCIC as stolen.
◆ Sheehan Bernal Sanchez, 18, of Charlotte, was charged July 14 with first offense DUI, simple possession of marijuana, driving without a license, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an unsafe vehicle and littering after he failed to dim his headlights when passing a Lancaster County deputy.
Sanchez told the deputy he had just been released from the Darlington County jail and was on his way home when he was pulled over on Harrisburg Road in Indian Land.
He was taken to the Lancaster County Detention Center.
◆ Two firearms were reported stolen from two different vehicles on Scotland Avenue in Indian Land.
The victim said his Sig Sauer pistol worth $571 and a Taurus pistol worth $230 were taken from his and his wife’s cars around July 11.
He told deputies he saw a Facebook post by one of his neighbors stating that his car was broken into twice recently.
The firearms were entered into NCIC.
◆ An Indian Land woman reported a johnboat, pressure washer, washing machine, dryer and two refrigerators were stolen from two of her Harrisburg Road rental homes sometime between July 9 and 12.
The woman allowed two of her renters to use her husband’s trailer to move some of their things out of the houses and it had not been returned either.
The items taken are worth an estimated $3,400.
The sheriff’s office is looking into two suspects.
