Faith Presbyterian and Belair United Methodist churches will host a Second Harvest mobile food pantry at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14.
This is the churches’ second mobile pantry this year, with another scheduled for Nov. 9.
The pantry truck will be in the parking lot of Belair UMC, 8095 Shelley Mullis Road, a half-mile east of U.S. 521 in Indian Land, across from the Food Lion shopping center. Overflow parking will be available in a vacant lot at the corner of Shelley Mullis and 521. Look for the signs for parking assistance.
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. The food wil be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until it is gone.
This pantry is open to all who are in need in our communities.
Recipients must meet U.S. Department of Agriculture income eligibility guidelines. An acceptable form of ID is required at the time of registration.
For details about the mobile pantry, call Faith Presbyterian Church at (803) 548-8810.
Belair also operates a food pantry for Indian Land residents on the first and third Thursday mornings each month. Its pantry will not be open Aug. 17, due to the proximity of the Aug. 14 mobile pantry. Donations of food or cash may be dropped off in the church office 9 a.m.-noon weekdays.
