The Small Business Development Center offers free business services March 7 (first Thursday of each month) at the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce, 453 Colonial Ave., Lancaster.
Business consultant Eduardo Venegas offers business planning, financing options, marketing assistance, sales and growth strategies, financial management, human resources, veterans and minority business programs and resources and referrals.

Let’s Get Started Workshop March 8
Looking to kick-start your business, but need more information and assistance?
The Let’s Get Started Workshop will provide a rundown of the entrepreneurial life and serve as a guide for startup businesses. Concepts will include legal structure, financing, marketing and more. Hot Tub Haven grand opening March 8-9

IL Dental Care to cut ribbon March 14
Indian Land Dental Care, 7748 Charlotte Highway, in The Promenade at Carolina Reserve, Indian Land, will  hold its ribbon-cutting at 2 p.m. March 14. The Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce will assist at the event.
Ag+Art Tour seeking farm tour sites
The South Carolina Ag+Art Tour is seeking farms to participate in the nation’s largest free farm tour in June. The self-guided tour is an opportunity for farms to showcase their operations and expand their exposure to locals and visitors. The tour includes local artisans on location at participating farm sites during the tour weekends.
Lancaster County’s tour is June 22-23, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. For details or to apply, visit www.agandarttour.com/farms. The deadline to apply is March 20.
IL Rotary Club meets at Cruzin Reubenz

Free tax assistance service available
Free tax preparation assistance is available 1-5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through April 15 at the Lancaster County Council on Aging, 309 Plantation Road, Lancaster.
Bring a photo ID, Social Security cards or ITIN numbers for all statements of income, W-2 and 1099 forms, brokerage statements of sales of stocks or bonds, health-care forms, marketplace exemption letters, and checking and savings account information for direct deposit or refund. Walk-ins welcome.
United Way offers free tax preparation
United Way of Lancaster County volunteers in Indian Land and Lancaster are offering free tax return preparation for those with household incomes of $55,000 or less through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at the Lancaster County Library and the Del Webb Library in Indian Land.
Volunteers prepare basic tax returns, including Schedules A, claims for the Earned Income Tax Credit and other tax credits, and comparable state tax forms. Volunteers do not prepare business or complex returns.
Taxpayers must have photo ID and Social Security cards (or individual taxpayer ID numbers) for themselves, spouses and dependents. They should also bring wage and earnings statements (Form W-2), interest and dividend statements (Form 1099), a copy of last year’s return, and any other income and expense information.
For joint e-filed returns, both spouses must be present to sign forms.
