    LANCASTER - Tarrylula Pearl Wiley, 66, died Saturday, May 12, 2012.
    She was the daughter of the late Willie Davis and the late Pearlena Boyd Vinson.
    Survivors include a daughter, Trina L. Wiley of Lancaster; four brothers, the Rev. Lothell Boyd of Lancaster, Lemma Jackson of Waxhaw, N.C., Jessie Jackson of Monroe, N.C., and Isaac Jackson of Lancaster; two sisters, Lillie Weathers of Lancaster and Bessie Hill of Buffalo, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild, Bella Jai Wiley.

  • Thomas Ambrose Surratt, 81

    FORT MILL – Thomas Ambrose Surratt, 81, died May 15, 2012, at his home.
    Born in Wadesboro, N.C., he was the son of the late Thomas Dennis and Katie Lulu Caudle Surratt of Jefferson. He was married to Sandra Bailey Smith Surratt for 56 years.
    After graduating from Newberry College in 1951, he served in Germany with the U.S. Air Force's 114th AC&W Squadron. In 1957, he joined the U.S. Army National Guard and commanded the Jefferson unit until the early 1960s.

    Osabie Witherspoon died Friday, May 11, 2012.
    She was the daughter of the late James Sr. and Edith Hicklin Witherspoon.
    Survivors include two sons, Ezell Witherspoon of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Frank Witherspoon of the home; three daughters, Mae Benjamin of Van Wyck, Zenia Graham and Joyce Witherspoon of Lancaster; two sisters, Ada Lee Dickson of Van Wyck and Ruth Waldon of Silver Springs, Md.; a brother, Clarence Witherspoon of Van Wyck; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

    CHESTER – H. Neil Love, 81, died Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Chester Regional Nursing Center.

  • Boyce Allen Kirk, 91

    Boyce Allen Kirk, 91, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
    Born Aug. 14, 1920, in Heath Springs, he was the son of the late William Simpson Kirk and Minnie Reeves Kirk. He was married to the late Grace Horton Kirk. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of Rich Hill Baptist Church. He was a farmer and later operated Rich Hill Exxon for many years.

    Indian Land – Otis Melvin Lovern, 79, of Indian Land, died Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
    Born in Ninety-Six, he was the son of the late Jeptsie and Lillie Mae Ellison Lovern. He was married to the late Mary Lou Atkins Lovern. He was retired from the engraving industry.

    LANCASTER - Ernestia Cloud, 24, died Monday, April 23, 2011.  
    She was the daughter of Rowvan Cloud and Veronica W. Brooks.
    Survivors include a daughter, India Smith of Fort Mill; her father of Fort Lawn; mother of Lancaster; three sisters, Osharka Cloud of Lancaster, Lakendra Culp of Great Falls and Kerri Coleman of Lancaster; and a brother, Antonio Coleman of Lancaster.
    Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Resurrection of Life Ministries, conducted by Apostle Mammie Wilson, with burial in I.C. Clinton Memorial Cemetery.

    Born in Rock Hill, he was the son of the late Robert Eu-gene Blackwell Sr. and Nancy Griffin Blackwell. He was married to Betty Lou Hancock Blackwell. He served in the S.C. National Guard.
