Playoff loss ends Warriors' season

By Lee McManus

GREENWOOD – Coaches often say the way to win games is to run the ball and stop the run. It was mission accomplished for the Emerald Vikings on Friday, Nov. 3. They held the Indian Land Warriors to -12 yards net rushing, had 49-484 rushing themselves, and between their two best backs – Keshawn Settles and Treshawn Chamberlain – averaged 12.4 yards a carry, and had six touchdowns.
It all added up to an impressive 48-23 win over Indian Land High School in the opening round of the Class AAA Upper State football playoffs at Emerald High School in Greenwood.
