Stroble wins DAR Good Citizens award

from Elizabeth Hutchinson Jackson chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution
The Elizabeth Hutchinson Jackson chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented its Good Citizen Award to Savannah Mary Stroble.
Citizen Committee Chairwoman Anne Landini presented the award, which included a Good Citizen pin, certificate and wallet recognition card, to Stroble, on Jan. 26 at the Del Webb Library at Indian Land.
Stroble, a senior at Indian Land High School, is the daughter of Melvin and Angela Stroble.
She was chosen on the basis of these required qualities:
• Dependability, which includes truthfulness, loyalty and punctuality
• Service, which includes co-operation, courtesy and consideration of others
• Leadership, which includes personality, self-control and the ability to assume responsibility
• Patriotism, including  unselfish interest in family, school community and nation to an outstanding degree
Only one student a year may be honored as a school’s DAR Good Ctizen.
