Kids on the Ball offers camps
The Kids on the Ball program will offer two summer sports camps at Indian Land Elementary School.
The camps are open to boys and girls in grades kindergarten to fifth grade living in the Indian Land/Lancaster area.
Session 1 is under way. Session 2 is July 9-12. Camps are from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday. Campers will participate in two or more sports and character-building activities each day.
Cost is $75 per session, which includes T-shirt and equipment. Ten percent of the fee will be donated back to Indian Land Elementary School to buy books for its media center.

Register now for county swim lessons
Lancaster County Parks and Recreation Commission will offer swim lessons June 18-29 for ages 3-18 at the Lancaster County pool. Classes are 9 to 9:50 a.m. and 10 to 10:50 a.m.
The next session is July 9-20, with classes from 9 to 9:50 a.m., 10 to 10:50 a.m. and 11 to 11:50 a.m.
The fee is $45 for the first child in a family, $40 for the second child in the same family and $30 for the third child in the same family.

Lancaster High cheer camp June 18-21
The Lancaster High School cheer camp for ages 2-14 will be held June 18-21 in the LHS gym. Camp hours are 5:30 to 8 p.m. Registration fee is $60 per child; $35 for each additional child. Registration begins at 5 p.m. Monday, June 18.
‘Big Pay Out’ softball tourney June 23
The “Big Pay Out” softball tournament will be June 23 at the South Middle School Complex, 1551 Billings Drive, Lancaster.
The entry fee is $250 and the field is limited to eight teams.
First-place team will win $500 and the second-place team will win $200.
The deadline to enter is 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 20.

Adult softball league meeting June 25
The Lancaster County Parks and Recreation Department will hold an organizational meeting for the 2012 Adult Softball League at 7 p.m. June 25, at Springdale Recreation Center, 260 S. Plantation Road, Lancaster.
League fees, rules and starting dates will be discussed. Someone from your team must attend the meeting in order for your team to participate.
The 2012 Adult Softball League will offer a men’s division and coed division.
