AJ annual holiday tourney ends Dec. 28
The 2011 Comporium Christmas Classic ends today, Dec. 28, at Andrew Jackson High School.
Play opens at 3 p.m. today for the girls consolation game, and the boys at 4:30 p.m. The girls championship game is set for 6 p.m. and the boys at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $6 per person. Only high school league passes will be accepted at the gate.

ILHS sports awards program Jan. 5
The Indian Land High School fall sports awards program will be held Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Indian Land High School gym.
Athletes in football, volleyball, cross country and girls tennis will be honored at the awards night.

Martial arts championships set
The 38th annual Universal Martial Arts championships will be at 9 a.m. March 10 at the Springdale Recreation Center, 260 S. Plantation Road, Lancaster.
The event, sponsored by Universal Karate Studios, will be judged by professional judges certified by Dojo Sport Karate Organization.
The competition features more than 200 divisions. Children will compete first. Also featured are classic adult black belt awards and cash for all grand champions.
The event offers pre-registration discounts for school owners who pre-register 15 or more students.
