WBT radio personality John Hancock has teamed up with Harris Teeter and Jif for Peanut Butter N' July to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
He will be spreading the word Saturday, July 21, at the Harris Teeter grocery store at 6271 Carolina Commons Drive in Indian Land.
Hancock will be broadcasting live from 10 a.m. to noon at the Indian Land store.
High in protein, peanut butter is one of the most valuable and requested items at food banks. Donation bins are set up at 54 participating Harris Teeter stores in the Charlotte area, including the one in Indian Land.
Come donate a jar of peanut butter to help with the peanut butter shortage at food banks in the Carolinas.
Second Harvest Food Bank provides food for distribution several times a year in Indian Land through Faith Presbyterian and Belair United Methodist churches. It also provides food for distibutions in Lancaster through Christian Services and area churches.
