Israel visits awaken his faith

-A A +A
By Crystal O'Gorman

Indian Land High School driver education teacher Rick Furr spent last summer exploring his faith in Israel.
“It always feels like I’m going back home,” said Furr, who made his fourth trip there in 2017.
Furr made his first pilgrimage to Israel in 2005. His sister, Carol Tate, a pastor at Life Giving Christian Center in Monroe, N.C., encouraged him to travel to Israel with their church group. He accepted the invitation without seeing it as much more than a tourist trip. But he said it wasn’t long before it changed his life forever.
