ILHS booters sweep all

The Lady Warriors upped their record to 3-2-1, taking a 4-1 win over Class AAAA foe York High School on March 7 at the Lady Cougars’ field.
Summer Bishop netted three goals and Emily Gerdes added a goal for the Lady Warriors.
Brianna Bishop posted three assists, while Samantha Ammann added an assist.
Indian Land outshot York, 22-6.
ILHS’s Emma Thompson tallied four saves and Shelby Ryberg added five saves.
Aubrey Mowery made York’s only goal. York’s goalie made 18 saves.
The York girls fell to 2-1 with the loss.
The Lady Warriors also topped the AAA Swansea Lady Tigers, 3-2, in a road game March 5.
Brianna Bishop, Kailee Erwin and Gerdes each tallied a goal for the IL girls.
Bri Reynolds had two goals for Swansea High School.
Brianna Bishop, Gerdes and Erwin each posted an assist.
The Lady Warriors outshot Swansea, 26-9.
Thompson had nine saves for ILHS, and Gabrielle Griner posted 16 for the Lady Tigers.
ILHS is 3-2-1 on the season, while York is 2-1, and Swansea, ranked No. 3 in Class AAA girls, is 2-3.
IL boys win two
The ILHS boys, 3-0, also posted a 4-1 win over York on March 7.
Gavin Dunlop scored two goals, while Jordan Perry and Joe Tombs each had a goal.
Dunlop had two assists and Previs Suvillaga added one assist for the Warriors.
Indian Land outshot the Cougars, 20-10.
Buddy Flow had five saves in the first half and Gabe Burris added four in the second half.
The Warriors blasted Camden Military Academy, 9-1, in a non-conference home game March 5.
Dunlop scored four goals and added an assist in the win. Payton Arnold netted two goals. Addison Guild had a goal and an assist. Nick Arias and Tombs each added a goal.
Suvillaga posted three assists. Luke Roberts, Jean Burbano and Antonio Aguilar each had an assist.
The Warriors had 22 shots to seven for the Spartans.
Flow had four saves and Burris added three.
The IL girls and boys teams traveled to Chester High School for conference games Tuesday, March 13. The IL girls travel to Rock Hill to face Northwestern High School, while the boys go to Buford High School on Thursday, March 15. Both teams face Columbia High School on Friday, March 16, the girls at home and the boys in a road game.
