Giardiello letter: Habitat grateful for local support

-A A +A

The board of directors of Habitat for Humanity of Lancaster County would like to thank all who supported our New Year’s Eve “Topping Out” celebration and fundraiser.
It was a great time for a good cause, to usher in the new year.
We were honored to receive support from people, organizations and businesses all across the county. Your support is helping us reach our goal of providing affordable housing for lower-income families in Lancaster County.
Several groups deserve recognition and thanks. Thanks to Wells Fargo for donating the home on Penny Street that is under renovations. Thanks to Founders Federal Credit Union and Comporium for their contributions to make our fundraiser possible. Thanks to the individuals and businesses who contributed valuable door prizes for our guests: Agape Fitness Center; Bob Doster’s Backstreet Studio; Cutting Edge Salon; Eddins Properties; Marcel Fromond, massage therapist; Gregory Health and Wellness Center; Scott Robertson, PGA pro with Lancaster Golf Academy; and Elizabeth Ann Interiors and Gifts.
Special thanks to the Habitat Friends at Sun City Carolina Lakes, which spearheaded a fundraiser with other Sun City groups and presented us with a check for $4,200.
Thanks, too, to individuals and businesses who preferred to remain anonymous – and to all who donated time and money to help us achieve our goal. Together, we are building a better quality of life for more people in our community. We couldn’t do it without you!
It’s never too late to help. To volunteer or make a donation, call our office at (803) 283-1203, e-mail us at  hfhlancaster@comporium.net, or send your donation to Habitat for Humanity of Lancaster County, P.O. Happy New Year to all. We’re off to a great start, thanks to your support.
