Doris Mackey Shute, 84

Indian Land – Doris Mackey Shute, 84, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at Wayne T. Patrick House in Rock Hill.
A native of Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Roby Edwin Mackey and the late Ruth Fincher Mackey Hudson. She was married to James R. "Jim" Shute.
Survivors include her husband of Indian Land; three sons, Ed Shute and his wife, Zelda, of Indian Land, Sam Shute of Richmond, Va., and Gary Shute; two sisters, Sue Duckett of Fort Mill and Barbara Couch of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Jennifer Beadle and Stefanie Kremer, both of Fort Mill, and Maximo Samuel of Richmond; and three great-grandchildren, Drew Beadle, Brice Beadle and Kate Kremer, all of Fort Mill.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Michael Ritter, with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the church.
