WAXHAW, N.C. – Diana Coughtry Shiflett, 62, died Sunday, June 17, 2012, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
Born Oct. 5, 1949. in Endicott, N.Y., and was raised in Waynesboro, Va., she was the daughter of the late David Laird Coughtry and Virginia Eggleston Coughtry. She was married to Paul E. Shiflett. She was a homemaker, a member of the U.S. Patent Club and a member of Bethany Church of Weddington.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Paul David Shiflett and his wife, Heather; a daughter, Allison Phillips and her husband, Jonathan; a brother, David Coughtry II; a sister, Sandra Davis; and two grandchildren, Ian Matthew Shiflett and Ava Elizabeth Shiflett, all of Waxhaw.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Shenda.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 22, at Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, June 22, in the chapel of Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Bob Williard.
