Transformation outgrows local facility

from Transformation Church
Transformation Church is excited to announce that it is expanding with a new Rock Hill location at South Pointe High School, 801 Neely Road. The new service will begin Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m.
The church’s current location in the Perimeter 521 Commerce Park in Indian Land will continue to host four services at 4 and 6 p.m. Saturdays and 9 and 11 a.m. Sundays.
Led by Pastor Derwin L. Gray, Transformation Church began in February 2010, and last year it was named America’s second-fastest growing church by percentage by Outreach Magazine. The church has rapidly outgrown its space, with more than 1,700 people worshipping weekly.
The Rock Hill location will feature live worship music, a vibrant children’s ministry and live and broadcast teaching. Rock Hill residents now attending Transformation Church and others in the local community are invited to come to the inaugural service.
Scott Carroll has joined the staff as pastor of the Rock Hill campus. He is a Rock Hill native who is known in the area as a former school music teacher and student pastor at several local churches.
“Having grown up in Rock Hill, it’s a joy to be a part of the team bringing God’s transforming grace to my hometown through a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, mission-shaped vision,” Carroll said.
“My heart is overflowing with joy,” Gray said. “I’m excited about how Jesus’ love is going to change lives through Transformation Church Rock Hill.”
Gray is a former NFL defensive back who played for the Indianapolis Colts and Carolina Panthers. He is also a nationally recognized speaker  and author. He is a graduate of Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte. He and his wife, Vicki, have been married for 19 years and have two children.
Transformation Church is a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, mission-shaped community with a vision to love God completely (Upward), ourselves correctly (Inward), and our neighbors compassionately (Outward).
The church is located at 9030 Northfield Drive in the Perimeter 521 Commerce Park off U.S. 521.
