Crossroads Lutheran offers new service
Crossroads Lutheran Church, 8511 Shelley Mullis Road, offers an alternative worship time at 7 p.m. Thursdays for those who work or miss Sunday services. Come hear “The Story” in a casual setting and share in a new, inspirational worship experience. All are welcome.
• The church will hold a Pentecost Memorial Day Service at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 27, to celebrate the birthday of the church and remember those who have given their lives in service of our country.
• The Lutheran Men in Mission will meet at 9 a.m. June 2. The group meets on the first Saturday of each month.

Sign up now for Faith’s VBS camp
Faith Presbyterian Church will hold Vacation Bible Camp on June 11-15 at the church office site, 7520 Charlotte Highway.
Children entering kindergarten through sixth grade next fall are welcome to attend morning sessions from 9 a.m. to noon.
Children who have completed kindergarten-fifth grade may stay for an extended session from noon to 2 p.m., which includes lunch.
The VBS camp will be led by counselors from Bethelwoods Camp and Conference Center in York, along with volunteers from Faith.

Osceola UMC to hold community yard sale
Osceola United Methodist Church will hold a community craft and yard sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 23. There will also be breakfast and lunch food for sale. Inside space with table $12, outdoor space with no table $7. Contact Robin Hucks at (803) 417-2258 to reserve a space. Non-refundable deposit must be received to secure your space. Deadline to reserve is June 10.

Need a place to meditate or pray?
All are invited to visit the new Community Prayer Garden and Stations of the Cross on the grounds of Crossroads Lutheran Church, 8511 Shelley Mullis Road. The garden is open from 8 a.m. to sunset daily. Booklets with reflections and prayers for the walk are available at the entrance to the prayer garden. The garden is on the right side of the church building, with parking in the church parking lot.
Ministry to offer half-day preschool
Christ Life Evangelical Ministries is starting a half-day preschool, Christ Life Young Disciples, for those who must be budget-minded, but want their child to get quality care in a loving, Christ-centered environment. Scholarships are available.

Higher Ground offers kids’ summer camp
Higher Ground Child Development Center, 8365 Possum Hollow Road, is now enrolling rising kindergarten through fifth-graders for their summer camp program.

‘Body and Spirit’ classes offered
Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 211 Marvin Road, offers “Body and Spirit” exercise classes from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays and 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
The classes include aerobics, kickboxing, circuit training, yoga and Pilates, followed by devotion and prayer. Classes will be held in the church fellowship hall and all ages are welcome. Bring a towel or mat for floor exercises.
