Bell joins Charlotte Regional Partnership
 David Bell will join the Charlotte Regional Partnership on July 23 as project manager.
Bell, who has master’s degrees in economic development and business administration, recently returned from Nigeria, where, as a development intern with Global Hope Network International, he helped train village community leaders in transformational community development and assisted in coordinating the Geneva Institute for Leadership and Public Policy Conference.
A Rhodes-Ingram Scholar at the University of Southern Mississippi, Bell also held an internship at the Electric Power Associations of Mississippi and was assistant to the director at the Professional Center for Economic and Entrepreneurship Education.
The nonprofit Charlotte Regional Partnership leverages regional resources to market the 16-county Charlotte region, including Lancaster County.


Global part of CRW’s Queen’s Feast

Global Restaurant, owned by Bernard Brunet of Indian Land, is one of 107 Charlotte area restaurants taking part in the Queen’s Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week.
From July 20-28, patrons can enjoy a three-course meal for $30 per person at Global, 3520 Toringdon Way in Ballantyne.
Global’s menu for the event  begins with chilled tomato soup, organic spring mix salad or Socca Provencal savory pancake; followed by an entrée of beef cheek, paella or sweet basil pappardelle; and a dessert of pineapple custard with coconut foam.

Chamber offers e-mail marketing seminar
The Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce’s The Small Business Council  will present the next Lunch & Learn event, “The Power of Email Marketing,” on Aug. 14. Anissa Starnes, Carolinas regional director for Constant Contact, will present this seminar from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Carolina Bistro, 9789 Charlotte Highway, Suite 1100 in the Shoppes at 521.

Steele Hill hosts local farmers market

Steele Hill AME Zion Church, 6021 Charlotte Highway, is hosting a local farmers market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The market opens at 8 a.m.
