Coffee break with chamber Thursday
Lancaster County Chamber is starting a new program open to all members. “Coffee break with the chamber,” sponsored by the Small Business Council, will kick off Thursday, Feb. 9.
The coffee break has been developed as an informal morning discussion session on topics of interest to all members, with the first meeting to feature guest speakers Lancaster County Sheriff Barry Faile and Lancaster Police Chief Harlean Howard.
During a moderated question-and-answer session, Lancaster‘s two top law enforcement officials will answer questions on several pertinent subjects, including business security due to a recent increase in armed robberies, concealed-weapon carrying permits, gang activity, a person‘s right to defend him/herself, etc.
The first coffee break with the chamber will be held in the offices of the Carolinas Literacy Network, 105 W. Dunlap St., Lancaster. It starts at 8 a.m. and will end promptly at 9 a.m. Light refreshments will be available.
Chamber members are encouraged to mark their calendars and join fellow businesspeople for this special coffee break.
Attendees can park behind the offices of the Carolina Literacy Network in the public parking lot accessed off Catawba Street. There is a marked rear entrance to the Literacy Network.
